The Finnish-Mexican artist and filmmaker Amulio Espinosa explores the paradox of progress and its impact on the natural environment through his multidisciplinary exhibition, "Mapa Ferroviario". Known as a "nomad of visual arts," Amulio brings a discerning eye shaped by his Mexican and Finnish heritage, and his works have been showcased across Finland, France, Mexico, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, and the USA.
In "Mapa Ferroviario", Espinosa presents a form of poetic activism, blending visual and auditory elements to document spaces irreversibly altered by the Tren Maya—a controversial mega-project in a biosphere reserve that many regard as ecocidal. Through sensations, movements, and human interventions, the exhibition invites reflection on our responsibility within an ecosystem that precedes and will outlast us.

as a beckoning to recognize the call of our own
