ARTIST STATEMENT

"In the Year of the Snake 2025, I have created a series of ceramic panels utilizing the kiln-transmutation glaze technique, presenting a 2D texture art style that integrates symbolic elements of traditional Chinese culture. The first piece features chrysanthemums, symbolizing wealth and longevity; the second showcases plum blossoms, representing resilience and perseverance. In Chinese culture, the snake embodies wisdom and transformation, resonating with the symbolic meanings of the chrysanthemum and plum blossom, reflecting the cycles of life and rebirth. Through these works, I aim to convey the profound essence of traditional culture and its innovative expression in the contemporary context."
