Caroline Tschepp presents an exhibit that explores the varied faces that Berlin has.
I wanted to represent the street people, the encounters, the people who are in search of something, the lonely, the atmospheres and the attitudes.
Color is my instrument to show how I perceive the "Fred Dusts" of Berlin, my emotions and my confusion caused by my encounters with street people
Fred Dust is not just a person but represents a concept. It can be an urban landscape or a single place, an emotion that challenges me and provokes me. Sometimes I feel swallowed, as hypnotized by these sensations, other times it calms me down and gives me the feeling of maximum peace and tranquility.
What are the effects that empty spaces have on me or those that are full of people? What is the role of inner emptiness? What determines where I feel calm? Loneliness within a place - within me.
Is all I see a reflection of my hidden face?
